An urban bike wedding in Cologne
Environmentally conscious and with an incredible zest for life, Jinju & Sajad married in Cologne in August. After a civil wedding in the closest circle of friends, we went by bike and in rickshaws to Café Walther for a vegan and vegetarian breakfast buffet.
The bridal couple celebrated their wedding in the south of Cologne in a wonderfully relaxed, happy and with wonderful individual ideas. Jinju is the founder of the gift start-up Junimo. Therefore, the personal touch could not be missing: Instax Polaroid photos from the time the bridal couple spent together with their circle of friends served as place cards. The bicycle plays a major role for the Cologne couple - which is why there was no question that the journey to the registry office and to the location had to be by bicycle. Also perfect for a tour through the southern part of Cologne.

“As a product developer with a passion for detail, it was actually clear from the start that I would plan the wedding myself. So there was neither a maid of honor shortly before burn-out, nor did we hire a:n wedding planner:in (which was often advised to us)," reports the bride.
Sajad and I work in an incredibly fast-moving industry, are both self-employed and are both involved in several start-ups. Our heads are actually always working and tinkering... Riding a bike is more important to us than mobility. Headwind feels like freedom. For us, cycling means flexibility, being free, being spontaneous. And so it was decided pretty quickly that we definitely had to do a little bike ride at our wedding – in the classic way with rattling cans attached to the luggage rack.
A wonderful idea that is a great alternative to the wedding car, especially for city weddings and green, sustainable celebrations!

We only invited our closest friends, no partners, no kids. Everything went under the motto Tiny (but cute) Wedding. We wanted it to feel like a nice Sunday brunch for us and for our guests, where everyone can relax.
